Automatic Weather Station (AWS) is an automated, traditional weather station that saves manpower and measures aerial imagery in remote areas. The system can make almost real-time returns through the Argos system and the global telecommunication system, the stored data can be transmitted in the future. Automatic weather stations are often placed in power supply networks and communications networks. Nowadays, solar panels, wind turbines and mobile phone technology enable automatic weather stations to transmit data wireless outside the power supply network and communication network.
